Cardio in the morning

Currently I am 3 weeks out from my first competition, and have upped my cardio recently. However, I have been contemplating and doing research on doing cardio in the morning before eating for greater fat loss. Most research has been on one side of the fence or the other, so just looking for some personal results that some of you may have had? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've found the research seems to be pretty inconclusive either way....even then the fuel source (fat or glycogen) has little to do with actual fat loss. Pick the time that works best for you.

It works very well for me. Down about 2 sizes from euro 38 to 34. Upped calories considerably, IF and fasted training whenever I feel like it. YMMV.

Edit: Forgot to say, maintained scale weight since January (within normal fluctuations). So it's in effect a "recomp".

I usually do my work out's and run's first thing in the morning. I find that food makes me slower. But with that said I have had my best results from running in the morning. I feel better and I have been losing weight and fat with the work outs. So morning is best for me.

Morning works best for me because I'm not awake enough to argue with myself. By the end of the day I can find plenty of reasons not to exercise. It's working. I've gone from a couch potato 3 weeks + 2 days ago, and I've lost 9.5 lbs. I only give myself 1 day off from exercising a week. That coupled with watching what I'm eating is working. And I sleep better than I have in years!

I do FIT training. My aim is to lose body fat so I'm also doing 5:2 with FIT 3 times a week preferably while I'm in a fast state.

I trained fasted and have noticed more fat loss. Now I train in the evening but eat lunch at 11am so about 6 hours before I exercise plenty of time for food to digest. I have trained early in the morning but often lack the energy. I'm rambling but yes I see more fat loss. I am also doing some tweaks for a competition. There is a fitness Youtuber Jerry (Bios3 ) and he mentioned fasted training is better in the morn based on his anecdotal evidence. Google it, he has some good info although I disagree with him on some points in his critique of fasted training
