Losing 35 pounds

Alright guys I am trying to drop 35 pounds. I have plateaued at 180 pounds and now I'm having trouble dropping the rest! I gave birth to a beautiful boy in December 2012 and in the process of pregnancy gained well over 70 pounds. I left the hospital weighing 252 pounds, no doubt being my heaviest weight. With hard work and dedication I was able to begin exercising after three weeks after the cesarian birth. The last few years, getting adjusted to being a new mother and eating healthy did not go hand in hand. I was able to drop a substantial amount of weight but I am still not comfortable in my skin. I am not trying to rock the skeleton look but I do want to feel fit and put myself at less of a risk so I can be there for my fiancé and my son. I am currently 177 pounds and my goal weight is 145 pounds. My usual morning routine consists of walking at about 3.5 miles an hour for half an hour to an hour a day. I have been eating about 1000-1200 cal per day and drinking water out the gazoo. I downloaded a workout app maybe thinking my body is getting to adjusted to the walking routine. Any other pointers?
Thank you guys!
