Caloric Goal

According MFP, my caloric goal is 2610 calories. This seems awfully high to me. I am a 5'8" 72 year old male. My current weight is 172 pounds. When in high school I wrestled at 168 pounds. I also played football and lacrosse. Never went below 165. I actually gained some weight when I went in the service.
I think my goal weight should be 165-170.
1st question: is this a realistic number?
2nd question, if not, how does one modify the goal?
Thanks
Wes

Check all of your input to make sure you entered it correctly. What did you set your activity level as?0

Check to make sure you entered the right info into MFP. Then plug your stats into a TDEE calculator to see what it comes up with (scoobysworkshop and IIFYM are good ones to use).0
