I've heard something about Strong Curves have any ladies out there tried it? What has it don't for your strength and over all body composition? Is it worth the $25 (USD) book? Or am I okay with just downloading the PDF Workout and going it alone? I've done Strong Lifts 5X5 in the past so I'm not a "stranger" to the weights. Lol

I love Strong Curves and I highly recommend buying the book. I suppose you could get along with the PDFs alone but to get the most out of the program the book is amazing, and I still use it all the time especially the index of exercises at the back.
It is more aesthetic and lower body focused.. my strength did improve but probably not the same way it would in another program. I had a fantastic experience with it.. mind you I ran it during a bulk so my results might be different than others.

I recommend the book. The pdf is good so you can see the basic overview but the final workouts are actually slightly different than the pdf. Plus the book goes over form, scheduling, etc.

I completely agree with sardelsa that it is aesthetic and lower body focused. Bret Contreras works with a lot of female physique competitors, not strength competitors. He's very smart about strength (and writes about it as well) but SC does not focus on it. When I ran SC, I kind of mashed up his program for lower body and a more strength focused upper body program. He actually also includes a template, in one of the chapters, of how he suggests you set up a full body program in case you don't like his exact program.
