Took a Cruise and still lost weight

My wife and I took a 7 night cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. I intended to gain weight since they feed people like cattle for slaughter on cruises. We worked out two times onboard, ate like a gluttonous fiends and just enjoyed the cruise. Came back dreading weighing my self, convinced that I had put on weight and to my shock had lost 2 pounds. Oh well.

I'd congratulate you if you didn't sound so disappointed0

My husband and I cruise a lot and I almost always lose a couple pounds while we're gone. I attribute it to all the walking and sweating we do.
How is that a bad thing?

not good or bad just unexpected.0

Congratulations!! That's wonderful!
Why the, "Oh well." Were you looking forward to gaining a little and re-losing?0 -
I've lost over 60 pounds so far - and I am having a hard time determining what my intake should be. We have anorexia nervosa in the family. Spoke to a Kaiser doctor and they said to get my BMI down around 25, I am already close to that. Thanks. So yeah, there is a little fear.0

Wow, losing weight on a cruise? Sign me up for heat! I just got back from mine and on the day I got off, the scale put me at +4kgs! I'm going to weigh in again tomorrow and I'm expecting to see +2 so to hear a loss, that's great!0

If you lost two pounds of FAT your were in a 7,000 calorie deficit in those 7 days. Thats impressive if you say you lost weight. I suspect if you ate like a gluttonous fiend that you were not in a 1000 calorie a day deficit and the weight that the scale shows is not FAT weight you lost but most likely in some time to come you will be putting FAT weight on. Unless you have some sort of miracle medical condition.. Just saying.0

A BMI of 25 is nowhere near anorexic. If you're worried about being anorexic, though, see a doctor and a therapist.
