:blushing: Hey my name is Maxine , I just started this diet yesterday and I already now I need a buddy for support or im gonna crash.I know i can do it i just need to be accountable. I used WW years ago and lost 42 lbs. in 21/2 months and kept it off for 10 years . So I myself know it can be done if you put your mind to it.

These message boards are such a great place for such a buddy! I get all the motivation I need by posting on her regularly. I hope you find the boards as motivating and inspiring as I do!

Take a look at the 40+ group; we are all women of the same age struggling with the same challenges. It is a great group of women that motivate each other every day. We also compete in challenges to help us stay on track.

I'm in a group called the Weight Loss Army on here and we weigh in every Monday, and Jen keeps a graph for us to see. We also have weekly challenges like 9 oz water/day, 6 servings of fruit/vege's per day and 210 min of exercise a week and we support each other for sure! Look for us and Good Luck w/your journey!

Not only are there active ways to have support, i.e talking to others on here directly, there are passive ways, too. I find that simply reading the forum always gives me motivation, even if I don't post or reply to anything. There are lots of topics covered, and the other day I learned some good information about metabolism that made me feel more committed to my plan of losing very slowly. As well, after friending just a few people, who I only messaged once so far, there is a thread of status updates when you log in, where you see your own (i.e. "so-and-so has logged in for 5 days in a row!" or "so-and-so burned x calories walking for 30 minutes today!" etc.) which totally motivates me to see every day.

Even when I hold myself accountable by staying logged in and logging my meals as I eat them, I feel better. At work I stay logged in (in the background) all day, and often will have a window in the bg at home when online, too. Stay logged in and keep coming back for support!
