    i mean, this thread is going quite poorly. but since the OP has yet to clearly state what she was hoping to accomplish by posting this thread, how can you be sure she isn't getting exactly what she wants? Hopefully things are going so roughly that she wants to curl up and dye.

    Thinning things through should rinse away the knots without unnecessary greying.

    Trimming away the hostility should comb a lot of things over.
