my name is Michele and I'm looking to lose 10 pounds. I'm at normal bmi. I joined a gym and I'm taking fitness classes using cardio machines and strength training. I'm a lifetime member of weight watchers but plan to quit it and use fitness pal to track my meals and exercise.

Great! Counting calories is a bit different from using the weight watchers method, so make sure you are logging all of your fruits/veggies/condiments. With 10 lbs to lose, it's suggested to aim for .5 lbs per week to make sure your deficit is not so large and you can get all the nutrients you need to be healthy. With a small deficit especially, it is very helpful to use a food scale to weigh all of your food (yes, even fruits and veggies).
