Ok Thanks guys. I shall bite the bullet and just do it! :confounded:
You really should get a check-up every year. Things get caught earlier...things that might kill you if not caught early. Plus, they run your blood. Imagine how many times you'll be stuck if you get sick and hospitalized, lol. One is better than a ton. :)

That's a US custom ...we don't get annual, monitoring tests in the UK unless we have a medical concern. It may well be the same in other countries

Yeah I think it may be. The thought hadn't occurred to me until reading it here.

Yeah, here we don't tend to go to the doctor unless there's something wrong. I guess it makes sense to have the preventative tests. I'm planning to go get my full bloods done, but only because I think I'm woefully vitamin D deficient.

lol... most people in the US don't actually go to the doctor for annual check ups either. Let's be real, we get told to do a lot of stuff, but I haven't been to the dentist in almost 4 years. I don't go to the doctor even when I feel like crap unless I honestly think I'm dying or someone insists I do so.

Thanks for all your replies. Definitely not over restricting myself. I think it has to do with two very key factors. The first is work stress. The second is not having enough time to myself to recharge my batteries. I would love to take a day off just to be by myself and relax, but I know that I'll be ten times more stressed the next day because the work will be piled sky high.

I suppose no amount of supplements will change my situation, but it would be good to have that energy to tackle the day.

It's a serious problem if your workload is affecting your health.

Is there a practice manager at your workplace, or someone higher up to talk to?
