Your weight will fluctuate from day to day. It is better to weigh yourself daily, then average it out for the week and see if your weight is going the way you want it to.
Also make sure you are properly recording and weighing your food.

Do you weigh yourself at a regular time during the day (such as after your morning business and before breakfast)?

Your weight fluctuates by several pounds during the course of the day due to water and food intake, excretion, etc.

Don't worry about it. Like the above said, take an average. You can't gain 4 pounds of fat in one day, and you can't lose 4 pounds of fat in one day. It's just water weight.

Water retention. Wait a couple of days until it dissipates.

I gained over 4 lbs in one day after working my body really hard and my muscles were sore all over. The inflammation caused a lot of water retention while I healed. The weight came right back off after several days.
I also can gain a few pounds easily in one day at different times of the month just because I'm female. Don't sweat it

good... honestly, only worry about it once a week. A lot of people have recommended you do an average of your weight over the week. Although I weigh myself every day I only count/log what I weigh first thing Monday morning (or day of your choice) it gives me a pretty good idea. I read somewhere quite a while ago that it's possible for your weight to fluctuate up to 5 lbs! I don't know if that's completely accurate if you're weighing yourself at the same time every day, but it's definitely true throughout the day.

So either average it like others have said, or pick a day of the week to really care!

PS also, make sure you don't move your scale around and you are weighing on a HARD surface and re calibrate it if you do need to move it somewhere else... I used to put mine up against the wall and then take it out when I needed it and it gave me a lot of false readings (one place I weighed 140, moved it a few inches on the same surface and I weighed 142!) now I have it on the wood floor of my closet in a place where I never have to move it for any reason.
