Why are so many members of MFP offended by sarcasm?
How can you improve yourself, if you're not willing to laugh at yourself a little?

    i love it when people are sarcy! the 1st night i met my other half, we spent the entire night mocking each other and being sarcastic. sooo much fun. that was 2 years ago and we're still the same (not all the time!). and i know he's the man of my dreams :smooched: :blushing:

    yes disneyland is great for eating disorders, being overweight, despression etc.

    An annoying YouTube chick that constantly "mocks" herself, explaining how she's not "really that hot," as she constantly dresses in in bikinis, lingerie and tight outfits.

    Imagine the most annoying, pretty, sorority-type girl you knew in college, that constantly fished for compliments by saying how "ugly" and "fat" she looked that day.... throw in a Boston accent, then give her videos a few million views on YouTube.

    I am gonna be the educator - ha - I am so gonna get some *kitten* for this but... how can you tell a person is being sarcastic online when you can't hear his/her tone in writing - the reader receives the message written according to mood, therefore it is all in perspective of the reader himself.

    Otherwise you just sound like a hormonal teenage girl.

    It's an art form and everyone thinks they can do it. If you end up pissing people off more often then making them laugh, you're probably doing it wrong.

    because sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, plus there is an underlying truth to many sarcastic comments.
