I have a good general idea of what kinds of foods to eat but I've always been bad with coming up with meals. I feel like I just snack and that's why my weight isn't where I want it to be. When I do just snack I tend to eat bad because it's "just a snack" so new ideas that aren't to hard to make would be amazing!

I presume you've eaten meals before and haven't just snacked your whole life? You go out to restaurants? You have google? Magazines?recipe books?

    Use those things as inspiration.

On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with grazing. You can graze all day and lose weight as long as you're in a calorie deficit.

eatingwell.com is a website that actually gives you recipes and suggestions for whole meals if you're not sure what to pair up. It also has free meals plans for various calorie levels. I also found I do much better on 3 large meals and maybe one small snack than 6 smaller meals.

Honestly, start with calories. That's all you "need" to manage weight. When you account for your calories I think the rest will start to become obvious over time. When you are no longer snacking for the sake of snacking you'll probably find the typical snacks less appealing.

Trying to eat "clean" or "healthy" is both a distraction in the short term and a significant road block due to the scale and complexity of managing all your food for the foreseeable future. Not to mention it's largely bull anyway.

When you have your calorie budget looking back at you certain options will look less worthwhile, just like your money budget makes buying a pony less appealing when you see the funds come out of the mortgage part of the budget.

Do you cook at all? Just keep it simple. Sandwiches, eggs, big salads, rice and beans, rotisserie chicken with some vegetables and rice/pasta/potato on the side. There are some decent frozen meals and I've even found a few frozen pizzas that have pretty solid macros (I like newmanns 4-cheese). Tons of options.

Weigh and track everything and if you naturally tend to eat a bunch can if smaller meals/snacks-no reason to stop.
