On Friday, my husband and I brought 5 bins of clothes upstairs, out of storage.
About half of them are winter wear, and it is high time I brought them out and started wearing them. Winter is half over!
But about half of them are clothes which were too small for me. I wanted to try them on to see if I could add any to my regular collection. It was kind of like shopping without spending any money!!
Happily, I can get into most of them again!! WooHoo!!
Some are from an even smaller me which I'm aiming for, but that's OK ... I'm hoping to get there by summer. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled to be able to add quite a stack to my regular collection.
And ... I'm putting some of my big clothes into the bins to go into storage. There's one pair of pants, for example, that I really liked, but gradually they became immense on me. I feel like I'm swimming in them. There's a pair of jean shorts which I cannot wear at all because they fall down.
Got any non-scale victories you'd like to share?

I love shopping in my closet, I've recently been fitting back into a bunch of dresses I bought a few years back. My favourite recent NSV's are being able to shop in normal stores rather than plus size, and having an attendant at one of those shops ask "Do you want me to grab you the next size down?" when I came out of the changeroom0

Don't do this - bin them or donate them! Why would you keep them in storage when you will never need them again!Positive thinking!!

Yes, I know but ...
- part of me figures I might be able to have them altered.
- part of me knows I'm not getting any younger and there's a good chance I will gain the weight back.
So for now, they'll go into storage. I've done moving purges twice in the last decade, and if we move again in the next few years (quite likely), and if I haven't gained enough to get back into them again ... then they'll go.
Meanwhile I'm thrilled to be wearing so many clothes I haven't been able to wear in about 4 years. Just one thing ... the legs aren't skinny, they're wide. The fashion of 4 years ago. I wonder if I can still get away with that.
