Lots of people walk them. I say start training now, using a sensible ramp up like some of the great links above. Run/walk and do the best of your ability and be proud just like you were with that 5k.
Now. stop reading and get out there jogging/walking/running or whatever!0 -

How far do you walk on a regular basis?
I've walked 13 miles in a day just for fun...
If you are in any kind of decent shape, walking a 1/2 should be doable.
