Alcohol + Clean diet

Not sure why i am posting this. I know there has been questions in the past about alcohol and weight loss so here it goes...
I've been a beer drinker for most of my life, pretty much every weekend since i can remember. I was once 220 and today hit the scale at 170 and am probably ~24-25% BF. Lately i have been trying to increase my LBM and have a goal to get to 12-14% BF. I have been at 170 for several months and the tape measure has been stuck lately as well. I have some minimal gains with weights even though i change it up frequently (~every 4 weeks or so). I typically used cardio to make up for the bad calories. Id run 6 miles od do HIIT to save up for a 6 pack and some wings on a saturday lol. I know in order to reach my goal that beer and cheat food on the weekends has to go. So i decided June 1 was the day to start. No beer and a very clean diet until 4th of July, then back on the clean spree until vaca at end July. Its only June 18 and i have to say i am impressed with how eliminating alcohol, sugar, junk carbs (chips etc..) has helped even tho my diet wasnt that bad to begin with except on Saturdays, sometimes Sat & Sun. Im still at 170, lost some in the waist line but the biggest things I have noticed are: my thinning hair seems to be filling in, ocasional anxiety/stress ~80% gone, no sleep aides needed, face looking healthier and tons more energy for workouts which has really boosted my gains in the gym (even at 5 a.m.!). I cant wait to see what its like on July 3rd. I may be too scared to drink and cheat that day if this trend keeps up! We'll see i guess.

I personally wouldn't completely cut out beer, but that's my choice. You're sticking to yours and that's awesome.
Best of luck!0
