Why would you not drink it? I get a headache if I don't have my two cups of coffee a day - but I love coffee, so I will have it.
I will NOT waste a doctor's time with my "addiction", I would NOT do any cleanse (except a daily bath or shower), and I will probably die someday in a way that has nothing to do with my "coffee addiction"....
And I actually might drink a diet Pepsi during the day when it's hot out.....

Mmm. yep. Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi for me, please. Death is inevitable, but I'd like to enjoy the journey on the way there.

... every one speaks of the evils of aspartame.

Don't be a hater. Read the link above and stop listening to the ignorant masses.

Also, coffee has a lot more caffeine so switching will probably make any future caffeine withdraw symptoms worse.

As soon as I read "Diet soda causes diabetes" I closed the page. SMH, the blatant ignorance - and all while acting like an "authority" on the issue.

The headache are most probably caffeine withdrawal as other mentioned a d it should go after 2days . As for switching to something else...I met a girl who was drinking coke first thing in the morning and what really worked for her was to substitute with another fizzy drink. She started drinking carbonated water like Perrier or club soda. The bubbles did it for her

A helpful list of the caffeine content in various commonly-consumed beverages. As you can see, caffeinated soda tends to have very small amounts of caffeine relative to coffee. So, if "massive headaches" result in withdrawal from diet soda, chances are pretty good OP is drinking very large amounts in the morning (40+ ounces at a time, I would guess).

The aspartame or sucralose would not cause headaches upon withdrawal, as they are pretty much inert substances.
