During a church slow-pitch softball game last week, my knee gave out as I was trying for a double (I was safe!)... so now I am feeling the weight come on and the only P/T I've had is the initial eval appointment. Working out over my lunch hour was my main exercise though I try to watch what I'm eating, that was the BIG help. So please help me figure out what I can do to get my whole body still burning calories while not further damaging my knee. (Torn ACL and questionable 'grey' on my meniscus muscle on MRI...)

    You should be resting.

    Not trying to do exercise.

    Eat in a deficit.

I blew my knee out and had surgery about 2 months ago. Rest & ice are your friends. It is a bigger mental challenge....eat less, protein shakes help. Your pt/dr will let you know when you can start doing little things. Listen to them so you do not have a set back!! God Luck :)
