Hi Guys -

I love biking, but my schedule doesn't really allow for me to get to the gym and back and still take care of everything else. I would like to invest in an upright stationary bike - preferably not one that folds up since I want to make sure it's stable...

anyone have suggestions or have one of their own they can recommend?

Thanks!

If you have a bike that you enjoy using for outdoor use, you could get a trainer for that bike, so you can use it with resistance indoors. If you have expensive road tires, you'd want to pick up a cheap trainer tire, as trainers can cause you to eat through a good tire in short order.

Unlike an elliptical, the mechanics of a stationary bike are very simple, so I think they should all be adequate. Thus, I suggest going on craigslist since these are items people often buy and then stop using.

Suggest a decent commercial gym spin bike - something heavy.

You can stand on it with high resistance and get a decent work out. You can also roll it into a corner if needed.
