I've wondered why there's thread after thread asking about waist training, cleanses, detoxes etc. Now I know why! It's because Lindsay Lohan (or some other minor-celeb) posts Instagram picture of themselves with a product. For money. Jezebel has put together a helpful compendium of many of these endorsements.

And you can bet your butt that the vast, gaping majoroity of those celebs have never gone anywhere even close to those products. It's an advertising gig and nothing more.
