Nursing Moms of 1 - 3 Month Olds

I would like to see what other nursing moms are eating. My baby is 1 month old and EBF. I am starving all the time and am not doing a great job making the best choices. Would like to add some women with open diaries or would love some ideas for quick/healthy snacks.

I'm not nursing full-time, but I have EBF-ed 2 kids.
First, remember that nursing is going to burn an extra 300-500 calories per day, so make sure you're figuring that into your goal and eating enough. Also, a healthy deficit right now will only have to trying to lose about a pound per week - you can get more aggressive as you start to wean in a few months. If you're hungry - eat!! Your body needs those extra calories right now.
Make sure you get a nice balanced diet - baby needs all 3 macros (especially fat!) for proper development. Your body will take what it needs from you to make your milk, and you want to make sure you're replacing all of that accordingly.
When I was nursing, I ate a lot of fruit, cheese, and peanut butter - all calorie dense and healthy. Make sure to keep up on your water!0 -
Hi there! I'm nursing as well and my little boy is 5 months old. For the first 3 months I was always hungry until I started incorporating eggs into my diet. There are a TON of ways that this can be done (quickly too!), and since doing that, I've stopped feeling so hungry. Hard boiled eggs are great, egg salad sandwiches, egg on an English muffin (you can add bacon/lunchmeat, cheese....whatever you want!), scrambled eggs, omelets, quiche, and lots of other things!
