Am I sweating more now that I've lost weight?

I've been noticing this year that I seem to be sweating more, and faster, when I work out. I've been a treadmill junkie for years now, so in general there's no issue with being drenched by the end of an hour session.
However, it certainly seems to me that I'm sweating more profusely now (145lbs, healthy BMI) than I was when I was heavier. The shorts are soaked to a point lower than I can remember when I was heavier. Furthermore, there are none of the usual "salt stains" on them when they dry! This extends to when I do stairs at work (22 floors per set, 2-3 times daily). I never broke a sweat doing them before, but now I'm dangerously starting to show moisture through my shirt and don't want to return to my desk looking like it's been raining outside.
I don't think it's the ambient temperature of the summer season, as (for the treadmill and weights) I work out in the basement which ALWAYS seems to be cold, and I don't remember any real difference from previous years. I'e been looking around the internet for discussion on this without success... Logically, I'm wondering if it took my body longer to "warm up" while working out back when I was heavier due to the sheer volume of tissues and water I had back then (max weight was 229lbs) and as such would take a longer time for the temperature of the flesh to get hot enough to justify sweating. Now that there's less of me, exertion will start the sweat glands working earlier, resulting in more and quicker perspiration.
Any thoughts on this? I'm pretty sure nothing's WRONG, but I'm wondering if there is a correlation between losing weight and as a result sweating more. Thanks for any wisdom imparted!

Higher intensity? Better plumbing and less insulation? I sweat a lot and the only difference I notice is that I stop sweating faster when fit than not.0

I definitely think I sweat more now I am fitter. I think it's because I can work at a higher intensity.0
