Hello All,
Im finding that i get very hungry throughout the day and im looking for some simple snack ideas. I would prefer something below 200 calories that would be okay in my purse if I forgot about it for a few days (so fruit isnt an option). I have been eating cliff bars, but those take up more than half my sugar for the day so im trying to shy away from those.
Thanks!:glasses:

Have you checked quest bars--a lot have only 170 cals with 1 gram of sugar. Also almonds--lots of flavored kind like cocoa or cinnamon0

Popcorn - 3 c. of plain popcorn, sprinkle with 2 tbsp parmesan and 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper (or less), mix well. It's tasty and around 160 calories.0
-
Handful of natural almonds or walnuts
cheesestring
atkins protein bar
Just a few examples of snacks I usually carry0 -
Low-salt pretzels
Low-fat gummies??
Wheat Thins
Trail Mix
Chex Mix, obviously the low-fat option lol0 -
Luna Bars!
They are a dollar each and oh so yummy! THey are usually under 180 calories and a lot of the bars are vegan friendly.0 -
a cup of cherrios is 100 calories - that's my snack of choice.0

I love these. https://solbites.com/solbites-products
The one with honey is my favorite, but it's got 240 cals. The peanut/strawberry jam one is really yummy, too. It's got 210. I haven't actually tried the chocolate/strawberry, but it doesn't appeal to me. That one is 200 cals.0 -
I keep a canister of nuts nearby - I have one in my car, and one in my desk (right now one is raw, unsalted almonds and the other is lightly salted cashews).
I usually end up going over my sugar allowance for the day - so nuts are great because they're pretty much just protein & fat0 -
Nakd pressed fruit and nut bars.0

Small ziplock bags of the above.
I snack on plain fiber one cereal, almonds, crackers. I'll count out the portion and put them in small ziplocks.0 -

I keep baggies of pre-portioned nuts and trail mix in a box beside me keys so that I can grab them on the way out the door. I just find a little time on the weekend to weigh and portion them and write the calorie info on the bag so I don't have to remember it.
Also pre-portioned peanut butter to-go cups are delicious.0 -
sausages are a convenient size - high protein!0

I like keeping a protein bar handy0

I used to always carry around an apple and a quest bar!0

Almonds, carrots, celery, raisins, granola bars & fruit. I have the munchies real bad0

I buy the Trader Joe's "Just a Handfull" packs, they cost a little bit more but for me worth it since they are always ready to go and you won't have to worry about anything opening in your purse0

Not sure what your sugar cut-off is, but in the 5-11g range are a lot of the Larabar Uber, Kind Plus, and Kind Nuts and Spices.0
