Silken Tofu

I have a smoothie recipe that I normally use 1 cup of almond milk for. Do you think I could sub out the almond milk for silken tofu with good results? I am trying to add protein without the use of protein powder. Here is my original recipe: 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 banana, 2 tbsp cocoa, 2 cups spinach, and ice.

Why not? I've done this. But you still need some liquid, I would think.0

Well I wasn't sure...kinda new to tofu. I have only been experimenting with it for the past 6 months on and off. I've never tried it in a smoothie. ..so I tried it out this afternoon and used 1 1" slice of tofu and 1/2 cup almond milk...it turned out perfect! Thanks for the reply0

I use both milk and silken tofu. Worked great. Also have had success using rinsed canned white beans (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup. Adds a nice texture and body or whatever. Rinsing thoroughly though is essential.0
