Losing weight while Nursing

Pre-pregnancy, I consumed 1,900 cals a day.
During pregnancy, I increased it to 2,100 a day.
Post pregnancy, I have it at 1,500 in order to lose weight. Do you think 1,500 is a good caloric intake amount for a nursing mother, or should I make it 1,600? I don't want to mess up my milk supply, but still want to lose weight.
I am 5'9" and CW is 162, GW is 148.
TIA.
