Weight loss journey!

Hi! Umm so I want to lose a lot of weight but know it's gonna take a long time. Over the summer I wanted to lose 20 pounds but haven't really met my goal. Does anyone have any advice about what exercises to do in the beginning?I have been doing brisk walking and some strength training stuff but just haven't seen results really. I'm also trying to eat better as well. Any advice people have would help! Either way just trying to get my foot in the door with the community on here. I guess that's it!
