If I want to reshape and tone what would my best option be...pilates or stationary bike? Should I always calculate and add to my daily intake calories consumed by doing exercise?
thanks guys -have no idea what options would be best

Stationary bike will not help you build muscle (what most people mean by tone). It will only burn calories. Pilates might help.0

Cycling outside will help you build leg muscle. Riding a real bicycle on a trainer or rollers is pretty good too. Next up would be to attend a spinning class.
Stationary bike is what we do as a last resort, when it is cold and dark, and there are no other options, but we want to get something of a workout in.
If a gym is your only choice, I'd recommend doing a spinning class once or twice a week + a pilates class once or twice a week. Do both.0 -
Are you at your goal weight? If so, check out the body recomposition thread in the maintenance forum.
If you still need to lose weight, you should (also) be doing strength training while losing weight and lowering your bodyfat.
"Reshape and tone" basically is having a low enough bf% to show underlying muscle.0
