Beginning runner, hamstring soreness...

I'm at the end of my third week of starting to run & doing cardio 5 days a week. I've been taking it super easy since last fall I didn't and hurt my foot as a result. I alternate treadmill and elliptical for cardio, treadmill I do intervals of walking and running for under half an hour.
Wednesday after my workout (treadmill then dumbbell lifting) my hamstrings got super sore. They don't feel like pulled muscles or torn anything, they're just slightly painful when I use them (they're not painful when I'm still). Yesterday was crazy and between my schedule and the pain I didn't work out.
Today they're still sore though. Should I stretch and take a day off, take a walk, or try to work through it?
