need help about nutritions!

Hi guys, I'm 21yo n currently a college student. I'm moderately active in college n lightly active when off school. I also train 3-4x a week. I have high metabolism or you could say I'm pretty much an ectomorph.

N now I try to eat healthy foods n set my cal surplus to 3000. N I haven't succeed in reaching the goal. Since I'm pretty active in college I'm afraid everything I eat will go to waste since it will turn into energy n the cal will burn. Anyone knows what kind of supplements or foods to eat so it won't burn out that fast? (I think someone mention something about catabolism or something)
