Hey all! My name is Josephine and I think I've been doing really well.
I've lost almost 60lb since Jan 2011. I've lost a load of weight, maintained as a Maid of Honour for a year (dress shopping early), got stuck and gained some back, got back on and lost some more and more recently lost my way and gained a bit more back.
After years of joint pain, fatigue and various other complaints I was recently diagnosed with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome.
I've got in to running and weight lifting but then relapsed and now I'm stuck in a massive hole and really struggling. This wouldn't be so bad but I brought a wedding dress a few weeks ago and already gained half a stone (7lb). I'm not getting married for a year but I'm still really worried I'm on a downwards slide.
Final straw was my MRI results on the 15th July telling me I had arthritis of both of my patellar (kneecaps), hence my knee pain. Rest of my knee is fine (stupid hypermobility).
I have come so far I really don't want to go back. I was getting so active and healthy. I've had JHS all my life as its a genetic disorder so I refuse to let it stop me now!!!
I am looking for friends for support, motivation and general butt kicking! I've come too far to go backwards and in return I will support and motivate you in your goals. I can help with advice and anything else.
And if you are a 'bendy' or a 'spoonie' then definitely add me!
