Has anyone tried herbalife?

I work at a clinic and everyone here is always watching what they eat and how they look. A few of my co-worker go every morning and afternoon to take herbalife. They drink a protein shake, a hot tea, and sabila and this replaces their meals. Has anyone else tried this before is it even good for you?

Some say skip shakes because it's not real eating, and weight gain is too easy after the shakes stop.
Okay, that kinda makes sense.
Consider this, too, that shakes help you get to a weight you are comfy with and you can work to replace shakes with real food over time to maintain. Is that wrong?
Consider this, too, I lost 30lbs using food only over 8-9 months. I failed to maintain and am back where I was. No shakes, only real food involved in that failure.
I say, if you like the shakes and can stick to the plan, go for it. Just don't expect to keep using shakes to maintain ...
