On track to fitness

Hi everyone.
I'm new to this, to fitness in general I guess. I've always been lucky in that I'm naturally skinny, always hovering around 125lbs, so I never really bothered to exercise or monitor what I ate. It wasn't until my mom died 3 years ago of brain cancer that I gained 25 pounds and was diagnosed with anxiety. I started working out recently mostly because of my anxiety. My heart was always beating so fast that I was worried about my cardiovascular health. I started exercising with just cardio, but have since gotten more into living healthily in general. I've lost all the weight I gained since my mom died and my resting heartrate has decreased significantly. I feel like I'm on track to be more fit than I've ever been.
