My boyfriend and I have planned a little get away for 4 days next week. This is the first time since my journey that we are getting away and I need some help/support when it comes to my meals and how I'm feeling.
For the first 2 days, we will be eating at Denny's for breakfast, as it's close to our hotel. I know I can make a good choice there, like an egg white omelette and seasonal fruit, or something of the like, that will only be about 400 calories. I'm more so afraid for lunches and dinners. Where we are going, I know there are only sit down restaurants and fast food places like McDonalds. For lunches, I'm planning on going to the grocery store and picking up some fresh fruit and things like that, that I can take in our bag. But for dinner, it looks like I may have to try to make the Healthiest choice at a McDonalds or other places such as. If I eat the Denny's breakfast, my own healthy lunch, and a small dinner at a place Like McDonalds, what can I expect in terms of weight gain for 4 days? I know we are all different and our bodies react differently, but I'm just not sure what to expect. We will be doing a lot of walking these days as well. And I will be drinking plenty of water as usual. I'm just feeling a bit uneasy as I don't want to come home and see I've gained 10 lbs. I will definitely enjoy our little vacation, but I want to make sure I'm doing the best I can too.

You can only do your best, with your best judgement!0 -
Does your hotel room have a micro/fridge? If so then stop at a grocery store and make dinners there. Save you $ on eating out. If your hotel also has a free breakfast take a few extra pieces of fruit or ceral for snacks If you have to do the fast food route then just make the best choices or smaller calorie options. Work harder when you get back but enjoy your vaca!!0

Mcdonalds' salads aren't horrible. You can get grilled chicken and since you know ahead maybe bring your own salad dressing (theirs are super high in sodium).
You can also try getting a kids meal, or getting a chicken sandwich without bread and fruit (apple slices).
Good luck! Good job on thinking ahead!0 -
youve lost 158# according to your ticker.
i have FULL confidence that you know exactly what youre doing, and will do jussssssst fine.
dont stress yourself out over it.0 -
I don't think you will gain anything if you eat responsibly and portion. Even the fast food joints have a lot of options now as to healthier eating. Skip fries and get a side salad or apple slices, order sandwiches with no mayo or cheese, water instead of soda ect. You may retain a little extra water weight because of the higher sodium content, but that will come right off when you get back into your routine. Take walks and explore with your boyfriend after dinner or lunch and that will also help you stay on track!
Be sure to enjoy yourself and don't deprive yourself a treat or two, you are on vacay after all0 -
I just got home from a week at the beach and I had a lot of the same fears. I think you will be just fine. Just try to make the healthiest choices you can. I work at Mcdonalds and the food isnt that terrible if you order right... grilled chicken anything and apples or a side salad or yogurt. You sound like you are prepared and thats the most important part. Have a great time!0
