Higher number on scale, lower on measuring tape.

Is that ok if I gained a pound but lost an inch around the middle? I'm an apple shape and my middle is my worst asset and I know that is the worst place to store fat. But apparently 'm gaining fat or something. Hmm, maybe I'm gaining muscle or water or gaining somewhere besides my middle.... I don't know. But I'm glad about the slightly smaller waist. The biggest I ever was around was 49 inches and now I'm 46 inches so in the big picture, I've lost 3 inches around.
