Wish me luck--nervous

I know this topic has been covered to death but I am just looking for encouragement, not a debate on the merrits of the change I am about to make.
Short story. I started out MFP "by the book" 1500 net, eating back my exercise calories, monitoring my macros, etc. was losing a modest .8 pounds per week.
Then I had a "bad weekend" and decided to "make up for it" by cutting back to 1200 calories and NOT eating back my exercise calories while at the same time increasing my exercise. Dropped 1.5 lbs per week for a few weeks. But of course as we all know my net was ridiculously low and now I am back to losing .8 or less with this serious reduction in calories.
So, I am about to take a leap of faith and go back to upping my calories and eating back at least part of my exercise calories. I am nervous because I really don't want to gain...my progress has been slow but its been progress.
Wish me luck and any advice on what to expect as I phase back into this would be helpful!

From personal experience, I can tell you that you can expect to gain a little, maybe a couple lbs. On a more dramatic scale, I went from 4-500 hundred a day (not by choice, after surgery my body gave me a massive middle finger each time I tried to eat more) to finally eating closer to normal and gained 6 lbs over 8 weeks. Overall, not too terrible, but still kind of annoying. Once your body realizes that you're being nicer to it, it'll acclimate and eventually start losing again. Don't freak out over the scale, keep the course, and you'll be fine.0

Good luck! I seriously mean it. I have never taken the up and down plunge, but it is interesting to hear. I hope you will keep me updated on how this works. You may initially have a gain but I am sure you will settle back down to regular weight loss.0
