What's your ab workout?

need to find one that's good for beginners and not too long so I can incorporate it in my busy schedule. I just want something that will progressively tighten my core. I am a full time student (taking summer school from 8-3) and work (5-11) and homework takes up any remaining time. Anything helps! I eat very healthy (1200 calories per day and on a high protein, low carb diet). Feel free to add me as a friend, I love seeing what others eat (make sure your food diary is open).
Anyways, comment your favourite ab workouts that you noticed gave you results!

I only added ab work after I had visible abs. Compound lifts did the most for tightening and strengthening my core. The things that made me notice the best results were a basic progressive lifting program and adding in hanging leg raises.0

Not sure what if any work out you are doing but... I was doing p90 and it has a 10 minute thing called ab ripper that was awesome and quick. Even if I didn't do the full cardio workout I could just add this quickly to my day. Also you can google Abs on Fire workout....I was trying to copy paste but I couldn't...It's the one that has 6 moves 10 reps of each move and it is black and red writing...you do as many rounds as you would like. I'm still at 5 rounds...apparently my abs need a lot of work0

I did that with no ab exercises.. just a bodyfat reduction.

I get most of my core work from compound lifting. I will do an extra 10 mins of core if I have the time though - toes to bar, Swiss ball pass throughs, TRX pikes, planks, weighted Russian twists.0

I do abdominal isolation stuff if and when I have time...I'd say maybe just a couple or three times per week. I'm an Oly lifter and also do a lot of compound work for accessory work and burn my core up pretty good with that stuff.0

I'm a fan of rotations (medicine ball, cable, band).0

I agree, compound lifts amazingly increase core strenght, can't do them deadlifts with a loose relaxed core ehh?
I do have an abs day, which is fun,it's also the day I do tire flipping.0 -

Check out blogilates on youtube. I like doing the abs on fire video. Pinterest has the images of the exercise too

You can also try Jillian Michaels's 6 Weeks 6 pack or Killer Abs. Both have different levels so you can progress and it only takes 30 - 40 minutes. Bob Harper's Ripped Core is also nice and takes about 45min.0

Squats (especially front squats), deadlifts, push ups, and pull ups. All incorporate the core if you’re doing them right. If I’m going to do anything specifically for my abs, I do hollow rocks or hollow holds. But I only do those to help with my pull ups.

100? Excuse me but I doubt those crunches are performed properly if you can do 100 in a row.
