What are the best food swaps/substitutions you've found?

My favourites are:

Soda swapped for carbonated water

Breakfast cereal swapped for home made smoothie

Potato crisps (chips) for seasoned crackers

    Whole grain breads and pastas in place of white

    That's really the only swap I made, unless you count making your own stuff instead of buying it.

    Laughing cow cheese instead of mayo, and then I don't need to add cheese either. Usually do this w tuna or when making a sandwich

    Cauliflour for rice and pizza dough, zucchini or carrot or sweet potato for pasta, (portobello) mushrooms for bread/buns. Can you tell I am intollerant to grains...? Cuts WAY down on the calories too, though!

    Replacing cereal from a box/bag with oatmeal made from scratch. I use stick cinnamon, diced apple and almond milk for the cooking. Topping it with cinnamon powder, chia seeds and ground flaxseed. sometime I add some blueberries

    Greens or cucumber for "rolls," vegetable noodles for pasta, cauliflower rice for rice, radishes for potatoes in a stew.
