Macros numbers! Help, I'm new! :(

Hello,

Hmm, I have a question. I am new to the app and honestly, I don't really know much about macros. I am currently at 203 lbs and 22.9 body fat. I am trying to lose 10 pounds and decrease my body fat to a 15-17%. My question is, should my protein be higher than my carbs? I'm currently doing, 35c, 25f, and 45 p( 166c, 53, 190p). I am consuming around 1900 calories a day. Are my numbers right? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

    My personal trainer gave me the ratios of 45%protein, 35% carbs, and 20% fat. She said I could switch the carbs and protein if I lacked energy. I like it with higher protein though.- it makes me feel full with less calories.
    I've also heard to aim for 0.8 to 1.2 grams of protein per pound of ideal body weight. That came from the body fat solution book - which I think is excellent. Good luck on your journey!

    Thanks for the feed back! Seems like We're kind of doing the same, right? I've only been doing this for two days and I feel good. My energy levels are fine. Once again, thanks for the feedback! :)

    You should be fine with that macro breakdown. Just make sure you're eating mostly nutrient-dense foods and watch for your fiber intake as well as micronutrient intake for overall health. However, 1900 calories may be a tad low for you, depending on activity level. How much are you trying to lose a week? How many days a week are you lifting/strength training? As long as you're getting between .8 and 1 gram per pound of body weight, and training, you should be just fine.

    Glad to know I'm not that far off. Well, to answer your question, I consider my self pretty active. I train 6 times a day. I haven't logged my exercise and the calories I burn bc I'm afraid of wanting to eat them at the end of the day. Haha. 1900 seems to be working just fine for me. However, I can never eat enough carbs. I'm still learning how to manipulate my meals. :)
