hi guys! I'm new here and looking for friends! Also, how do you get MyFitnessPal to "know" that you are an athlete who trains about 15-18 hours a week? I know that the calorie number is an estimation based on height, weight and physical activity, but as said I train pretty much so the number should therefor be higher l.. Does anybody know if it's possible to make the estimation more accurate?
Add me as a friend!!

MFP expects you to log exercise separately. Even their highest activity level probably wouldn't be enough to account.
Or you can manually set your own calorie goal.

MFP's numbers are rarely accurate for athletes, even if you log training like they want us to. Your best bet is to use a TDEE calculator then attempt to log accurately for a few weeks before making adjustments. Having higher than average lean body mass or low body fat doesn't get calculated into MFP's numbers, but the TDEE calculators I have found do ask for body fat percentage.
  • I understand, thank you. That was very helpful:)
