How do I add a friend?

Im using Mobile app. I have my friends username but don't see where I can request to add her. How do I find and add a friend.

You can't use the spyglass above, enter her username under "author", click on her user name in the conversations shown. This will take you to her profile & option to add as friend. There are easy ways on app, but this is quick from this starting point...
