Am I the only one who struggles to log daily and to exercise?
6 months ago - I managed to train and prepare and went on and ran the Trail Half Marathon Wales in June (against doctors’ orders due to an injury) but I did it and I was told by the doctor NOT TO RUN for a good couple of months. It's been 6 weeks since I last ran and my knee is still sore but the lack of exercise and now motivation is getting me down.
I’ve put on and I know I weigh a hell of a lot more but I also just feel rubbish about myself.
I have a lot of stress in my life (like most people) my husband is often depressed just lately and now undergoing tests to see if he has something very seriously wrong with his nerves and muscles (I’m petrified of losing him, we’ve been together for nearly 20 years, over half our lives together!) I have two small children with him 4 and 6 years and I work full time, life is a juggle and I have to keep it together! We don’t have family we can call on for help and no one knows the struggles going on so it’s down to me to keep things ‘normal’ and going.
I’m starting to suffer with Anxiety and panic attacks (I hardly sleep due to these attacks) and then decide to drink half a bottle of wine to try numb everything and get some sleep! I feel like I’m poisoning my system with a destructive behaviour!
What a mess ….. BUT my reason for posting is I know I’m not the only one like this and I know if I had just a little correspondences with like-minded others I could ‘kick my butt’ and log and plan and eat healthy and stop the mindless drinking and plan in the weights again to help speed up my metabolism. I know if I got a better mind-set I’d be a better mum, support and overall person.
I’ve started reading The Badass Body Diet by Christmas Abbott with a view to motivate and focus my efforts and attention. I just want to know if others ever get into this state and how you get yourself out of it?
Thanks people. xxx
