This is normal and I wouldn't sweat it. Water weight fluctuations are normal and depending on the amount of salt/fluid intake the day before it can very by quite a few lbs. I once read that a gallon of water weighs 6.5 lbs...since I shoot for 100 oz a day my weight could vary by up to 5 lbs a day! Crazy!! So if it bothers you...stick to only weighing once a week.0

Yup. It happens to everyone. Whether or not they are trying to loose weight. The thing you need to look at is the long term trends. Do the lows keep getting lower? Then you are on the right track.0

so very normal. keep working on a trends based idea. as in your lows keep getting lower and the highs keep getting lower0

Yes, it's very common. You go up and down all the time. Some people even weigh themselves once a week or once a month just so that they don't have to deal with ups and downs,
Get used to it.0 -

Daily flucutations are normal due to a lot of variables - water weight, weighing at different times of day, weighing with different clothes on (best to do it nude), different amounts of food in your body at various stages of digestion, etc. I weight daily because it is an old habit, but I am accustomed to the daily swings. Most people I talk to prefer to weigh in once per week. That will smooth out some of the variance, but it won't be perfect. Even with weekly weigh ins you may have flat or even an up week. The body is a complex thing and doesn't always react to these numbers dieters like to toss around or do things in a perfect line. Morever, your calorie deficit number, your actual calories in (no matter how carefully measured), and your calories out are not exact. It takes time; your best friend is patience and persistence. If you work at a true deficit, the weight will come off over time. Ever notice those exercise and diet products always say "just 90 days". There is a reason for that.
Until then, there are other things you can follow. Some like to do measurements such as waist, chest, arms, thighs, etc. This isn't perfect either, but is one way you can find results if the scale numbers bother you. The mirror is another place, but my experience is seeing weight loss in the calves and forearms and face first due to propotions (if you scoop a cup of water out of a 1 gallon bucket vs. a bathtub, where do you think you will see the water loss first? Same with adipose...we focus our eyes on problem areas but since that is the 'bathtub' vs. areas with less adipose like forearms (the bucket) to start with). some people report clothes fitting better (or falling off) before they see it in the mirror. I have heard folks say their rings get loose. I personally noticed more energy in my day.
Bottom line is - if the daily numbers frustrate you, weigh less often. I saw one post here at MFP where the OP only wanted to weigh at the doc's office. That is fine too. Whatever keeps you from stressing. Stay the course, don't sweat the individual days, and look to the long term.
