Hi,
My name is Nicole and I am 42. I am a mother of 2, wife, and business owner. I love riding my motorcycle and paddle boarding.

I am 5'2" and 150lbs. I want to lose 20-30 lbs. I have always thought of myself as athletic, not skinny, but not fat. I weighted 120 lbs until I got married and quickly gained 10 lbs. I stayed at 130 until about 8 years ago and then the weight started adding up.

At my current weight I am embarrassed by how I look. I have been trying to lose weight for years with no success. I am addicted to sugar and eat when stressed, bored, emotional, etc. I hate to cook and dislike a lot of foods.

I don't have anyone that I feel comfortable sharing my journey with directly. I am looking for support..

I have a huge addiction to diet coke. Recently I realized that ever time I had a soda I also wanted a snack, and vice versa. So I am attempting to give up soda. It has been a week so far. I am still getting head aches and am very sluggish.

Thank you for listening. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nicole

Good luck with the soda addiction and your weight loss goals. My aunt had the same addiction and it was not easy to kick. She started replacing a few per day with lacroix and was able to stop completely in about a month. She feels like a new person with better taste and smell.

I have a might bigger goal; I am hoping to lose 100 lbs but have the same anxiety about sharing with most people. I am embarrassed of how I look but since tracking my weight, which o started before using mfp, I have lost 20lbs since may. I have to keep telling myself to give myself time and not think of the end goal but my daily intake and exercise goals.

Things just got interesting for me though because at 33, I think I am pregnant with my first baby! Hubby and I have been trying for 10 months, which is why I started with diet and exercise in the first place.

Again good luck and I would be happy to support you!
