what is your daily sugar allowance? I've been working out fairly hard for at least 6 mos. I just walked/ran my first half. Weight isn't budging. Fairly sure it's both processed and hidden sugars but I'm also not hitting my carbs most days. How do I get this in line?

It's not the sugar. You're eating more than you're burning. Are you weighing your food on a digital food scale?

Excess sugar won't make you gain weight, only excess calories can do that..

What is your daily calorie goal? How many carbs are you consuming daily? What's the macro break down?

what is your daily sugar allowance?

15% of your calories is the MFP default, so at 2000 calories it's 75 grams and at 1200 it's 45 grams per day of total sugars from all sources.

Your diary is closed so can't see what's going on.

Do you use a food scale and do you log your calories? If so, can you open your diary. The general reasons why people aren't losing is lack of accurate logging and consistent logging.

I understand what you are going through. My body doesn't show progress regardless if I keep my calories low and eat too many carbs and sugars. I am now paying way more close attention to the sugar grams in every thing I eat. Notice on the nutrition label how sugar shows how many grams are in each serving but not what percentage of your daily allowance is? My daily sugar goal is set at 41 grams. When I eat, my goal is to only eat things with 8-10 grams of sugar of less. Of course I allow myself sweets now and again, but overall sugar definitely plays a large role in my progress and overall slim appearance. I would keep processed foods out of your diet as much as possible too as you mentioned.

I don't really manage sugar intentionally, but looking at my last month I took in between 35 & 50 grams a day, compared to the MFP target of around 75.

A higher workout load is definitely more forgiving, in my experience. It sounds like you're getting exercise in, so it's hard to give any recommendation without seeing your diary.
