Hi all,
Anyone ideas of foods to boost energy pre-training?
I usually train around 5-6pm and am feeling sluggish. I eat dinner about 1pm and usually only a piece of fruit in between?
Guessing I need more to eat but need ideas......

I usually eat small amount of fruit or something with low carbs protein bar quest Then a pre work out drink. Or a small cup of black coffee with little sugar if any to get me going0

low carbs? I find carbs lie on my stomach - but I need something for energy. I do have some protein bars might try those.
Don't generally drink coffee do you think tea would have the same effect? ha0 -

It's the caffeine you're going after, so maybe a second cup of tea.
Maybe crackers and cheese? Not terribly high protein at about 12 grams, but it's pretty light.0 -
Banana and PB on english muffin? Smoothie with some protein powder? Whatever you choose, give yourself a good couple of hours to digest before your workout.0

I'm trying greek yogurt today with almonds and grapes.
