Good morning, MFP members! I hope all is well on this Tuesday! WARNING: I AM a rambler. So I just began my new routine for weight loss and energy gain. I'll spare you guys ALL of the details and just give you some. So I have decided to wake up at 6:30 am. Why 6:30am? Well, I just enjoy waking up with the sun. (I know...weird) Anywho, that was all fine and well yesterday (Monday) as the day went off without a hitch as planned. So in order to have today be like yesterday. I crawl into bed around 8:30 pm to do some studying which only turned into me surfing the web for meal replacement smoothies and checking in on MFP friends. Anywho, 10:30 pm rolls around and light out, but I'm not out! I'm still bright eyed and bushy tailed! "Oh no!" I think to myself. "If i don't get to sleep now I won't get my 8 hours and be able to meet the sun at 6:30am!" Once again, I know...I'm weird. So suddenly my mind goes haywire thinking of how everything will suddenly be thrown off concerning my routine. I won't want to have to hit the elliptical at 9am knowing it could have been done at 7am and tomorrow will be a bust all because I got a late start so I may as well forego my diet and exercise for just that one day and just pick up on Wednesday... The. I thought to myself, "No, this is how it starts. One little thing throws me off and the next thing I know I will have given up on dieting and exercising until my next epiphany arrives." I can't let that happen. I said all that to say this I feel that sometimes we give up on doing big things all because one or two small things go wrong. I feel that we have to look at the big picture in the grand scheme of things and just keep pushing forward to achieve our goals. Waking up 2 hours later than I wanted to is no reason to quit my plan of losing 20 pounds and gain more energy. This message was written for those like me who can be easily thrown off by small snafus. Nobody's perfect! Let's pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and salvage what we have left! I have had my healthy breakfast and now it's off to the elliptical and then the rest of my new routine will follow. Happy Tuesday everyone!0
