I have been working on getting more exercise for the past few months after quitting smoking in January. I bought a scale the other day and kinda lost my mind when I weighed myself. So now I am getting a handle on my food intake. I have to face the facts that at 40 I can no longer eat however much of whatever strikes my fancy and remain healthy. It's just not gonna happen. So here I am on day three of curbing my portions and counting my calories--I have NEVER in my life done this. To be honest, I am kind of enjoying it! I have about 40-50 pounds to lose in order to feel good. I am about 195 right now. I am happy this site exists and I have really been enjoying reading everyone's struggles and successes. I appreciate everyone's openness. I am still figuring out how ti all works though!
