I can feel the rocks through the bottoms of the shoes I have. Would a hiking shoe be best?

Seems to me a hiking shoe would work better - you might still feel the rocks a little bit, but the hiking shoes would probably hold up better than regular running shoes.0

What shoes are you wearing? Gravel road doesn't really require heavy duty trail shoes or hiking boots, but there are some sneakers (running/walking/crosstrainers) with thicker soles than others.
On the other hand, hiking shoes are cute and fun and give you an excuse to go into REI/Cabela's to try them on, which is always excellent.0 -
No stores like that in this rural area. Only one shoe store of any kind! I will probably be buying online.
I am wearing some Avia walking shoes. There are a lot of rocks on our road, and it hurts!
That's what I need. Thicker soles.0 -
I have purchased a pair of Keen hiking shoes, since I found a good deal on them. Hoping they work both for hiking and for my rocky gravel road.0
