Looking for some advice! Last week I was on vacation and had no access to a barbell. This week I was sick with a stomach bug and so am giving it until Monday before I resume lifting. What should I do on the first day back? Should I lower my weight, or what? Should I expect it to be more difficult, since I'll have missed six sessions? Thanks for any input!

Test all your 5 rep maxes and start from 90% of that. SL. I posted on another tread about SL the flaws of it, I urge you to give it a read. No, I'll PM you it...

Start from where you last lifted and if you feel you need to drop 5-10 lbs. two weeks is not much to worry about, hell! many people come back from one week stronger than before if they have been doing progression for a long period.

If you are noticeably weaker it probably comes down to your being sick.

The Strong Lifts app will tell you how much to deload (I believe it's 10% for 1 week, 20% for 2 weeks)

I wouldn't sweat it. 2 weeks is nothing.
