Nike FuelBand Settlement

I thought I would pass along this information for any MFP'ers that own a Nike FuelBand. Nike recently settled a lawsuit about their FuelBand after being sued due to how inaccurate they are. Nike is providing those who've purchased FuelBands between January 19th, 2012 and June 17th, 2015 with a $25 gift card.

I wonder how many other lawsuits like this may pop up in the future. I know that these activity trackers are estimates, but it looks like some are a little off while others are way off.

    Saw this today. I don't own a fuelband but considered getting one at one point - when I looked into it my impression was that it wasn't going to be as useful as Fitbit, so I'm not totally surprised to learn they're accused of being inaccurate.

    As an aspiring lawyer and fitness junkie I'm very interested to read the details of the case! My understanding is Nike is still denying the claims but just decided to settle to make things simple. I'm interested to know the specifics of the claim.
