Weight lifting

Hi,
I recently started weight lifting because I'm thin (around 110 and height 5'5) to get more of a toned form. However, this same week that I started weight lifting I started, spotting blood. Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm planning on going to the doctor but I'm curious if this is something that has happened to people or if it's just me. I would appreciate info about it or some info if you know someone who had this experience! Thanks and would really appreciate your answers!!
